What is a cryptocurrency ?

It is a type of virtual currency used for its production and for payment transactions a network of computers of individual users who provide part of the performance your computer connected to the Internet.

Each cryptocurrency has its own payment network where you can mine the cryptocurrency, or with a cryptocurrency in this network just pay, ie transfer the currency from your account to another account. Cryptomen networks usually have publicly available source code and k you connect to the network by installing a special program called a wallet for payments, possibly other mining programs.

Cryptocurrency mining

It is the verification and confirmation of transactions made by cryptocurrency. If someone pays with a cryptocurrency, the miners use their devices to verify whether the person concerned is indeed the owner of the cryptocurrency in question, whether the payment is in order and can be made.

They will receive a reward in the form of a cryptocurrency for mining. After confirming a certain set of transactions, one block closes and then another begins. This creates a chain of blocks in a row called a blockchain.

Blockchain is a transparent public ledger in which they are recorded completely all completed transactions in the network.

Based on which they can add the executed transaction to their database, if it does not exist no authority to confirm it. How to reach a consensus of a huge amount computers on the network? Consensus algorithms are the answer to this problem. Their job is ensure that nodes in a decentralized network agree without the need for central authority.

Proof of Work

provides evidence based on the work done, we say on the computational power required to establish the evidence, which network nodes accept.

Proof of Stake

works on a draft without the need for miners. They are replaced validators, who lock the amount of their coins and thus gain the right to verify transactions.

Proof of Burn

This tool is very interesting. It is used that the user sends links to an address for which there is no private key. So they are unforgivable, and we can say he burned them like that.

Proof of Capacity

instead of the computing power itself, however the mining operator provides his memory. It's more energy efficient.
